Kitchen Project

This is the area under the old refrigerator. The refrigerator failed while I was gone to San Antonio for a wedding. It looks like it was leaking for some time. After removal of the old vinyl and left with wondering how to proceed, a plan was formulated. First the floor had to be leveled up with spacer vinyl tiles. Then leveling compound was used to fill in the spaces around the tiles. Then a small portion of the bottom of the trim was removed with the new multipurpose tool just for such things. It's an amazing tool that can trim off the bottom of trim without having to take off the trim. Then a smooth 1/4 inch sheathing is laid down on top of the old floor and screwed into the floor. The screw heads and cracks around the cabinets are filled with self leveling compound. Then sanding down the compound to smooth with the shealthing is next.  Since the opportunity offed itself, I decided to paint the wall a different color as well. It took two coats of Kilz 2 to cover
